In order to be fully compliant with the forthcoming changes regarding the holding of personal data, NationWide Laboratories is taking action to ensure that we and you, our clients, are not in breach of the legislation.

From 25 May 2018 the law around data protection changes; therefore we are making the following request to protect ourselves and your business.

Only data which is “adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purpose for which it is processed” should be entered on the sample submission form which is provided to you by ourselves or your practice management services provider.

When submitting samples for analysis, can I ask that in addition to the practice information, vet name, short history and tests you require you only provide:

  1. Animal species/breed
  2. Animal age
  3. Animal sex
  4. Animal fasted or not
  5. Animal’s name
  6. Animal owners surname/last name

No further animal owner information should be shared as this is personal data which we do not require in order to deliver our service for you.

If we do receive information of this nature from you we will notify you and take action here to remove it from the submission form so that we are not storing any of your client’s personal data.
